Final Score All Scars 246 to Swamp Maidens 91
Swamp Maidens MVP's were Kill Billy & Porterhouse Skate.
All Scars MVP's were
Sugar Hit and Balistic Button.

Huge thanks to all the Refs, NSOs, crew & visiting teams who made this & the rest of our home games possible this year - See you in 2016

Twisted Sisters MVPs were Shallow Kitty & Honey Grenade.
Broadside Brawlers MVP's were Madd Kao & Blockness Monster.

Iron Maidens vs Sirens Of Smash

The Iron Maiden vs Sirens of Smash game was a success for Bay City's representative team! The game was quick paced and Nelson pumped out consistent offense but as Coach Buck said "the best offense is defense" and that is what the Maidens did. When the final whistle blew the score board was 196-117.
MVP's for the day were Precious, Pushy Galore and our fearless Captain Evenger - she's on a roll - get it lol? Thanks to all those who game to support us.

Iron Maidens vs Dead End Derby All Stars

The Iron Maidens are back in the bay after a BIG weekend! The game against Dead End Derby started well with the Maidens holding their own in the first quarter but the home team put the pressure on and at half time the score was 143 /68 to DED. The second half our Maidens struggled to respond to the constant rush of offense from the more experienced team. When the final whistle blew the scoreboard was 296/117 to DED. Both teams put their bodies on the line with played with passion. The blocks we’re hearty and most have mementos (bruises) to remember their trip by. Thank you to the Dead End crew for the hospitality and bouting opportunity. MVP Jammer went to Krash Bambi and MVP Blocker to Porterhouse Skate.

BCR Iron Maidens vs RCRD Convicts

Game two was a different story with BCR taking the win (216 BCR to 96 RCRD) Coach Buck says "the girls adapted well to all situations and the trust level in each other was evident. Reforming drills were obviously paying off as well". The MVP's selected were Dolly Didit and our favourite Dee Capitator. Well done all for playing your hearts out. BCR Twisted Sisters vs Whenua Fatales

Our Twisted Sister went up against the Whenua Fatales Roller Derby League on Saturday 18th April. The Whenuas roster was very different to the one presented in Taranaki a few weeks ago so the Twisties had a challenge. With a 20ish point lead at half-time the Fatales kicked it up a couple of gears and finished with a 220 - 163 win. Congrats to both Tax That and BCR's Lone Wolf who took home the MVP honours - great job, ladies. As ever, thanks to the refs, NSO's, supporters and skaters. Thanks for heading to our neck of the woods skaters, refs and nsos.

Triple Header: Twisted Sisters vs
Taranaki Rumble Bees vs Whenua Fatales

The Twisted Sisters headed back to New Plymouth on March 28th to defend BCR's title against Taranaki & Whenua Fatales.
Daisy Devil Spawn & ShellShocka were first up playing in the tendermeat curtain-raiser game. Their strategy knowledge & fancy footwork really stood out amongst the two teams of tenders, the rest of the Twisted Sisters were proudly cheering them on all the way!

BCR sat out the first game & watched Taranaki take out their first game against Whenua Fatales. Twisted Sisters then took on Fatales and came out with the win (BCR 194 to WF 79). Finally in what was the closest game of the day, TS took on Taranaki. Taranaki led at halftime, but BCR made a huge comeback in the opening jams of the second half, but the game came down to the last jam, with Taranaki taking the win 126 to BCR 121.

Iron Maidens vs ARDL

It’s always a treat for the BCR gals to hit the road and travel to the four corners of our beautiful New Zealand and do what we love (play some derby of course).  So on March 14 the Iron Maidens hit the big smoke to take on Auckland Roller Derby.  Due to injuries the team roster was tight meaning high rotation for all.  It takes the whole team to deliver and we’re more than grateful to Chaos for dusting off her skates and jumping in the van and special mention to Wolfy for joining the team at short notice.  BCR jammer line up, Bambi, Dee and Billy gave it their all on track as our nurse Angel was unfortunately benchside with a knee injury.  Our strong start against this awesome team was eroded through their strategic and rule savvy play.  MacKenzies’ jamming for ARDL was calm, consistent and outstanding.  Even though the Maidens pride themselves on fitness fatigue set in in the second half and saw the penalty count surge and this naturally impacted the final score 190 ARDL to 105 BCR.  Garbo joined the Ref squad who seemed a tad busy at times.  This may sound rigged but duo Dee Capitator(Blocker) and Bambi (Jammer) were selected as MVP’s yet again!

Iron Maidens vs Swamp City All Stars

The Iron Maidens had a challenge in front of them, as the Swamp City team now boasts four Team NZ players. The walls were solid, but we managed to surprise them by scoring lead jammer in the first two jams. It was short lived, and although a loss the game felt more well matched than the scores portrayed, 280 to Swamp City's All Stars to Iron Maidens 81.  Bambi game MVP, selected by Swamps for her agility and counter blocks on the blockers.  Great feedback was on our commendable hard hits, excellent offense and positive attitude.  2015 sees BCR up against these teams not once but twice this year so a great opportunity to look for improvements.

Twisted Sisters vs Swamp City Badda Bings

The Bay City Rollers hit off the season with two action packed games - both our Iron Maidens and our Twisted Sisters travelled down to Palmerston North to play against the Swamp City Roller Rats. They are renowned for their strong, agile jammers and their impressive blocking abilities - alone and in a wall! The Twisted Sisters were first up taking on the newly named Swamp B team Badda Bings. Some impressive assists were given to our jammers by our blockers, and big cheers erupted from the stand when our jammer and new entry to the BCR fold, Booti-Vicious pummelled the opposition jammer off the track and won the jam - boom! It was a neck and neck with lead changes throughout the first half. The Sisters were unfortunately unable to close the gap in the final quarter and the final score was 183 (BB) to 145 (TS). Dee Capitator was awarded MVP for her incomparable strength busting through their walls, and for her exceptional capability at keeping the pesky jammer back. This girl needs a cupboard for all her awards!
